Arch Attire has always patronized that it gets lethal when it is asked to pick up sides. As long as you are a design force, fashion and architecture can be your two rightful arms. Today, we are flushed to welcome a grandeur example of our belief with this astonishing news. Luxury fashion brands are now leading new sectors in home décor too.
We are talking about Louis Vuitton for giving us serious style additions not just in clothes but even in the context to our architecture spaces. Louis Vuitton presents the new Objets Nomades at Palazzo Serbelloni on the occasion of the Milan Design Week 2019 Fuorisalone, adding two new architectural studios to the project: Atelier Biagetti and Zanellato / Bortotto. The new collection is adrenaline rushing, an eclectic inspiration of travel around the globe in every context adding pieces by atelier biagetti and zanellato / bortotto to its objets nomades collection further joining a line-up of renowned designers including india mahdavi, patricia urquiola and tokujin yoshioka, like them, the italian duos have worked alongside an in-house artisan to produce their designs.
Louis Vuitton revealed the new launch and the entire collection as well as past editions from the origin year– 2012, re-proposed in new colors and materials in a neoclassical exhibition that was held at Palazzo Serbelloni during Milan Design Week 2019. The collection of Objets Nomades is a definite derivative of augmented reality versed technology. It oscillates synergies in unconventional terrains to bring the certain most reality. Louis Vuitton invited designers with a lot of creative freedom to dwell on the discipline of ‘form follows function.’
It was a glam spiked affair where vibrant hues including the campana brothers’ ‘bomboca’ sofa-puzzle in fluorescent yellow and the ‘cocoon’ suspended chair covered with red faux fur illuminated in bold hues among the dimly lit rooms.
Bulbo Armchair – The Campana Brothers
Have you ever heard of the fairy-tale named Thumbelina- This piece reminds us of a real life descendant from the virtual reality giving us our very own moment of starring in a fairytale – Thumbelina resting inside a flower, yet in a contemporary avatar that can aptly add tropical leap to our urban setups. This new addition– the bulbo armchair, a gigantic envelope in yellow fabric creates the experience of being embraced by a tropical flower.
Anemona by Atelier Biagetti
The designers interpret the idea of travel along with an obstinate core of blessed personal style. The milanese atelier biagetti has created ‘anemona’, a dining table with a glass top and wavy base covered in soft leather. Biagetti believes that dinning space has a warmth of familiarity, a space of cross breeding communications, family views and acceptance. This space deserves nothing but an inborn potion of freedom. He worked on a pursuit to change the superlative notions of a four legged dining table by introducing an intensely physical piece frozen in an endless motion of an emotional and poetic character that cross-breeds the epitome of freedom: the sea.
Ribbon Dance by Andre Fu
Andre Fu’s thought provoking idea behind the classic and modern style emphasize the interactive relationship between man and space. Lost in today’s time and space no one has time to start conversations, even in the most populated places, people are having zero interactions.
While designing the Ribbon Dance double chair, he wanted to change that. He designed the chair which looks like a ribbon walloping in the air forming an infinite symbol that draws parallels out of place and conjoins the end. The design of the double chair plays with the behaviour patterns in a positive manner in a hope to drop the guards and start conversations on a playful note of endless possibilities. A sofa chair that makes you come in close contact with each other and probably give a good starting point to initiate conversations. After all what’s in a sofa if everyone is silently sitting on it. World needs more of such sofa chairs which initiates chit-chats, coffee – conversations and a lot more.
Marcel Wanders for Objets Nomades
