LIFE in 2018 started on a note of realization that nothing else matters the most than your family. My sister came back to life and it was like a miracle. Until now i was thinking all my worries are really painful until my sister’s illness came to surface. No stress was so big than the fear of loosing your sister to the years beginning. January was busy in taking care of her. It flew by in hospital visits and one day I was called for an audition of a Prime Video reality show – Hear Me Love ME with Shilpa Shetty. After so much going on my family insisted I shall go for the audition. And my sister also recovered with a major surgery. I got selected in the audition.
I can clearly say in 2018 I came back to life, in my literal senses. And looked at myself from another perspective. I realised how stressed I had been from past two years, literally neglected to take care of my inner and outer self. And it was time I took care of everything. I started talking with myself more. Started working on my brand from a more independent manner. 2018 has been the most successful year I have had in my career until now and I have grown out to be a stronger independent single woman. From taking the opportunities and turning them into a gold mine. God has been really really kind for somehow making me reach at the right place with right opportunities. I felt grateful at every step. There were times when I just couldn’t give up and then there were also the times when I believed it’s time to sit back, relax and introspect and let things fall into its own place. I remember i wasted one entire month nearly watching Turkish love series. And once that month was over I never saw myself work so much. I realised more than being anxious you need to be at peace and have a positive mind set. With that belief you will attract the right kind of moments, the right kind of opportunities. I went with the gut feeling. Whatever i did, I did it with my heart. No hard work goes to waste and anything you do gives you rewards when the time is right. With that mindset I worked on so many projects. In february I received my architecture degree and in March I was independently managing a team of 12 people to execute additional projects of digital marketing along with my fashion blogging. For a long time I thought i need to open an office space in Mumbai and 2018 would be that year but somehow God’s plan was to let me fly and feel like a free bird, explore the world and may be settle down but it definitely wasn’t this year. The way situations arose things just happened. I always wanted to explore the world, cover lot of beautiful places in my blog, attend international fashion weeks. This year all of those dreams have started coming true. It literally feels like life has got wings and I couldn’t have asked for more.
My heart became lot more open and acceptable of situations. I met people with more warmth, love and affection. I hosted a lot of events on self development and I want to do those things lot more. when i go and speak to my internet family with an open heart. Its so beautiful to see the layers of emotions unfolding and that too effortlessly because when people tell e their fears i have been through that face and have overcome it. The way I connect to everyone during a one to one conversation is so so surreal. I want to do more of such heartfelt conversation with my internet fam. It helps me grow as a person.
I didn’t have much time to make new friendships or rekindle the old ones. It was surprising how complete I felt with my own self and not requiring anyone’s validation. I stayed home quite more and also travelled quite more. It was such a sweet balance of work, leisure and patience.
I immensely believe that content is your king and with that belief I am so grateful to be a part of some of the best collaborations I had with my favourite brands this year. The joy I get to be a part of such beautiful work opportunities cannot be measured. At the end of 2018 I literally want to thank my favorite brands to have that kind of faith and allow me to do all the beautiful work. I want to lot more work and grow more on all the levels. MY FAVORITE FASHION COLLABORATIONS OF 2018
LOREAL PARIS X BALMAIN
Being a part of this campaign put me in the high spirit. Balmain has his jazzy pop vibe that i was so excited to imbibe in this campaign. We had to make an ultra cool video where we reveal the glam looks using Loreal Paris lipsticks created by Balmiain. This campaign allowed me to scout loud and cheer my inner personality of being out and loud. The 12 lipstick shades were from three tribal couture. And each shade resonated strong vibe.
DA MILANO ITALIA
A campaign that I did in the start of the year. The vibrant pair of bags was all that I needed to kickstart my 2018. It was the right amount of oomph you need to kind of head into a fashion forward 2018.
LIVA FASHION at AMAZON INDIA FASHION WEEK
This was the most fruitful association we did in 2018 and I am so grateful to the brand. My stunning team of 12 in Delhi & Bangalore handled the execution of the entire digital campaign with top 13 bloggers of India. From producing the digital content for the brand for the onsite activity to interviewing the participating designers in Liva Fashion Show. It was all the way more thrilling as we executed the entire operations within 24 hours and this was so effortlessly done.
Ceriz is an accessory and footwear brand. And the chilled vibe the products have made the campaign feel very very sporty and wearable. I felt so comfortable flaunting the looks at India Fashion Week. The looks were so versatile and kept me in my youthful zone. I could wear Ceriz almost everyday.
COLORS MAN BY BENETTON
What fun being a part of this campaign. We celebrated the launch of this new perfume The entire shoot production was handled by Parcos Beauty team. There were more than 50 influencers who were a part of this campaign. The influencers were divided into four groups – Team Red, Yellow, White and Black. I was Team Red. Also this fragrance turns out to be my favorite fragrance of the year.
U.S. Polo Assn
Classic to the core. I am so proud to have associated with a brand that is universally accepted for the polo name and game and its sporty energy.
So this was for wedding season. And this campaign tops the list from my beauty campaigns. I was supposed to curate top beauty products from Shoppers Stop Beauty and create make up looks for India Couture Week and Vogue Wedding Show. In fact I even dressed up like a bride in one of the videos for the campaign. Here is a brief look. Thank you for having so much support me. I really enjoyed being a part of this campaign. Dylan Blue Pour Femme launched an eccentric new fragrance. I had the privilege to take it to my first trip to Paris fashion Week and get some drool worthy pictures at Louvre Museum. I left my heart at the beautiful museum and I am never going to foregt my shoot with Versace with such an iconic building.
With the international fashion sense. The footwear and accessory brand was everything that I needed to show off my fashion forward sense. I flaunted really fun looks at Lakme Fashion Week. Here is what I loved from thier collection and I choose to wear this brand for Lakme Fashion week.
TWO POINT TWO
Now this is the campaign where I felt I had to push some boundaries. The designer had a vision of gender equality something that utterly needs to acquire the humanity back. The collection was genderles, meaning anyone could wear it. This is what we shot at Lakme Fashion Week. As loud as it could get but the message needed to be get going. Kudos to the designer Anvita for creating this gen-next collection.
BUDWEISER X FIFA
I collaborated with Budweiser twice this year. Once in March and then in July. Keeping up with the FIFA World Cup fever. I just couldn’t keep calm. Budweiser actually got me hooked to FIFA world cup. From watching the FIFA at my favorite club to enjoying Bud with my fav Buds, this campaign had me jump from my seats. Happy happy moments ayy!
Converse launched All Star collection. The new pair I wanted to endorse came in vibrant blue. I wanted to bring a youthful and fun vibe to the whole campaign. We shot this campaign at the most fun places. On the water tank and inside the kid’s garden. But the content that we got looked quite dapper. I am still mesmerized by these shots.
This is one of the brands who understand what your true calling is. Anything bold, out and loud. On the National Lipstick day the brand reached out to me sport the most dramatic lip colors from the Myntra Beauty Edit ( M.A.C & Maybelline) I was in Delhi and I got to do something that I have always been wanting to do. Fbb ( Fashion by Big Bazaar)
On a fierce rampage to post 500 fbb festive stories in a day. Fbb reached out to me this Diwali as an influencer to support the thrilling campaign. I had great fun sporting this look from Big Bazaar. Brownie points – my mom loved the pictures too.
MISS MUMBAI PAGEANT
This is one of the extensie campaign that I have worked for. Not just as a blogger but I felt this opportunity helped me broaden the scope of work from shifting the focus of work from my own self to all the top 16 contestants of Miss Mumbai. My job involved mentoring the wonderful 16 girls. We had an interactive 3 hours heart to heart conversation where we shared our stories and learnt how to overcome our fears and emerge as strong women who run the world. It was so surreal to experience that I was able to share my story by being vulnerable and as well as listen to their fears. During this workshop everyone came out to be braver, out of fear and connected with each other on an emotional level. From grooming we also took care of styling them for their first promotional photo shoot and then finally being a judge for the grand finale and covering the entire activity as a fashion blogger.
I was in Jammu for Bhai Dooj and Diwali. I have always loved how Manyavar represents their brand with so much poise. Also from a long time I wanted to do a photo shoot with dad. Luckily the opportunity came in at a right time and I got to style my dad. He has this photogenic personality. This time we all were in our vacation home in Jammu. My entire family was so excited to head to his first photoshoot. I am still so obsessed with how royal the sherwani looks on him.
I am so grateful to Like app to make me a part of this campaign with other celebrities like Ranveer Singh, Sunny Leone, Sonakshi Sinha. I loved the new feature s of Like app and it was so much fun to actually enjoy the chill zone the fun app puts you in. Ever since I have been so hooked to the app.You must try too!
PARIS FASHION WEEK
Nothing can match the excitement of attending the international fashion week and promoting two New york based fashion designers. Maison Atia and Posh Meke want me to head to New York. Like Asap!
Everything that I got this year and everything that shall come to us, as the year ends and a new year begins all that I want to be is grateful for everything that happened and did not happen in 2018. And I am not going to say that all my dreams were fulfilled this year, some did and the one’s which did not are the very much reason to head into 2019 with more clearer vision, more hunger and more positive power. 2019 we are ready for you. Lets walk into a new year with so much gratefulness , faith, love and power. Know that God’s with you and everything will be a beautiful miracle. Wish you all a Happy & a Prosperous New Year.
